Tamy B. Hickman Buckel, MD

Dr. Tamy B. Hickman Buckel is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Fellow of the Academy of Dermatology. She received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Washington College in 1992. She then received a Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health. Dr. Buckel earned a M.D. from Penn State College of Medicine and completed a medical internship and dermatology residency at Penn State /Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in 2006. Furthermore, she has completed fellowships at the Centers for Disease Control and National Cancer Institute. Her fellowship at the National Cancer Institute focused on the genetics and clinical surveillance of melanoma. She has published numerous articles in various areas of medical dermatology. Dr. Buckel is also a member of the Kent County Medical Society, MedChi, and American Contact Dermatitis Society.

Dr. Buckel was selected by her peers as a “Top Doc” in dermatology for the Eastern Shore. Also, she strives to provide care for our underserved rural community by working in partnership with the Kent County Health Department. She sees patients in our Chestertown and Cambridge locations. Dr. Buckel celebrates 17 years in private practice at Shore Dermatology this year.

Edgar F. Peithman, PA-C

Ed Peithman, PA-C was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Seattle, Washington. He attended Howard University and earned his PA-C in 1987.

Ed has over 26 years of plastic surgery, general dermatology and dermatologic surgery experience. Also, he worked with the University of Maryland Shore Regional Hospital Emergency Department for almost 30 years. Furthermore, Ed was a co-founder and former President of the Maryland Association of Dermatology Physician Assistants. In 2016, Ed joined Shore Dermatology and sees new and established patients in our Cambridge office.

Ann Lawson, MMS, PA-C

Ann Lawson, PA-C is a Maryland native and received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland College Park in 2004. In 2007, she obtained a Master of Medical Science from St. Francis University and became a certified physician assistant through Anne Arundel Community College.

Ann has specialized in dermatology since 2007 when she started at Anne Arundel Dermatology. She gained extensive experience at the Mohs Micrographic and Skin Surgery Center, and also practiced general dermatology and dermatologic surgery. Ann sees patients at our Chestertown office.
